hitestone Cottages are the perfect haven for independent travellers looking for luxury self catering accommodation.
These 2 bedroom, self contained holiday homes are situated in a relaxing and spacious garden setting with superb mountain views just a five minute stroll from the centre of Methven - Mt Hutt Village.

Thoughtfully appointed throughout with rich warm timbers, leather club chairs , king sized beds with crisp cotton sheets and thick feather down duvets, the interiors are all designed for the discerning traveller with an emphasis on comfort, style and space.

Each cottage offers all the comforts of home with living rooms with open fires, leather club chairs and TV/Stereo while the kitchen and laundry are fully equipped for all your requirements including complementary coffee and tea - all you have to bring is your favourite food. Upstairs in each cottage there are 2 bedrooms with 1 sized sized king bed - which can be split into 2 single beds, an extra single bed, an ensuite for each bedroom.

From the wide open terrain of the Mt Hutt ski field just 30 minutes away, or try the incredible experience of heliskiing and heliboarding in the Arrowsmith and Ragged Ranges, or try your hand at guided trout or salmon fishing in the nearby crystal clear high country rivers and lakes. Alternatively for those who enjoy the adventure of hunting and trophy shooting these too are within easy reach with experienced professional hunting guides and top class facilities. For those who like a slightly more sedate pace and spectacular views then playing a round or two of golf at Terrace Downs, a magnificent 18 hole interantional golf course is for you, Or for those who enjoy the simple pleasures of the quiet outdoors experience a guided walk at Washpen Falls, situated with a unique canyon.

Five elegant limestone cottages offering luxury accommodation. Downstairs each lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and complimentary tea and coffee. Full laundry facilities include washing machine, dryer, iron/ironing board as well as a drying cupboard. The living room provides all the comforts of home with an open fire, leather club chairs and TV/Stereo. Upstairs each of the two bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, a super king bed (splitting to two singles if required) and a single bed. Rate is based on 1-2 persons.

Inclusions:

*Includes 12.5% government taxes (GST), based on double occupancy with one king or two twin beds. There is a minimum 2 night stay. Additional person rates apply ($NZ 65 Adult $NZ 35 Children (6-12 inclusive). Children aged (0-5 inclusive) are free of charge when sharing with an adult. A deposit of 20% of your total stay is required to confirm your reservation.
*Please note: On your arrival at Whitestone Cottages, please drive down to the main lodge at the end of the driveway, you will then be shown to your cottage. Check-in is between 2.30pm and 7.00pm however if you anticipate arriving earlier or later, please let us know in advance
Directions to Whitestone Cottages: Leaving Christchurch, take the main South Rd (State Hwy 1) following signs for Timaru. After approx 40 mins you will cross the Rakaia bridge and arrive in Rakaia. At the Mobil garage turn right into Elizabeth Ave, following signs for Methven (37km). On arrival in Methven, turn left at the Mobil garage onto Main St and drive straight through town. Whitestone Cottages is the last property on your left as you leave Methven heading south.

Cancellation Policy:

Reservations are accepted in good faith. Cancellations must be received at least 7 days in advance of arrival or else a penalty of the first night's accommodation charge may apply. A non refundable deposit of 20% is taken for all bookings during the ski season (June through October).
