| The wine country surrounding the Bell Tower is ideally suited
to cycling. For the golfer, there are
attractive courses within a few minutes drive. The Marlborough course is only 5 minutes
away and Rarangi and Picton a short drive.
While Marlborough is famed for its award winning wines and gourmet produce, the nearby
Sounds (Queen Charlotte and Pelorus) are equally well known to fishermen, sailors and recreational
water sports people. The area is also noted for its rainbow and brown trout fishing. We
will gladly assist with fishing guides and charters.
Queen Charlotte Walkway stretches from historic Ship Cove to Anakiwa. This spectacular
67km Queen Charlotte Track combines unforgettable coastal and bush scenery with magnificent
views of the Marlborough Sounds. Visitors can walk the entire track taking up to three days
or simply enjoy a leisurely half day's trek with delivery and pick up by water taxi. There
